A better foothold for getting above your Grenadier. SideStep Gen 2 upgrades our hinge-mounted roof access step with stainless-steel construction and an all-new fold-out extended foot. Deploy the main step, fold out the extension, and you get a larger footing area designed to make climbing, standing, and working around the roof feel more secure. When you're finished, the extended foot folds back into the step and the complete assembly stows against the vehicle. It mounts directly to the rear door hinge bolts with no drilling or permanent modification.

Fold-Out Extended Foot
The defining Gen 2 upgrade. A secondary foot section folds outward from the main step to create a larger standing area. The added surface gives your boot more room and provides a more secure footing when reaching, loading gear, or working around the roof.

Easy to fit and very well engineered. I had an issue with inconsistent torque on the door bolts (an Ineos UK issue), but once they were loosened with an impact hammer the rest of the install was straightforward. I emailed DVA for reassurance and advice and Derek replied quickly, suggesting scotch tape over the Torx head to protect the paint on the original bolts if the steps are ever removed. The steps themselves are excellent, work perfectly and look smart and stylish. 10/10

Great aesthetic and helpful to access the middle of the roof tray. The step is really short so make sure you have good purchase because these could do some serious damage to your shins if you get it wrong. I’d recommend using a ratchet set or impact driver for original bolt removal so you’re less likely to slip and scratch the door or hinge. Disappointingly the washers supplied were rusting and discoloured by the end of the first week which let the product down as the rust is all that people see when they look at them.

These side steps are a great add-on for the Grenadier. They make getting items from the roofrack a lot easier, especially considering the height of the vehicle. Super solid underfoot and feel like they’ll last a long time.
What I like most is they don’t just do the job — they actually look good too. They match the style of the Grenadier really well and don’t stick out like some aftermarket parts can. It’s one of those upgrades that’s practical but also adds to the overall look of the vehicle..
If you’re looking for something that’s useful every day and also makes your Grenadier look even tougher, these are well worth it.

Great parts. I especially like the beveled washers that fit in the existing holes, along with the soft gaskets to keep the paint perfect. This is a really well engineered and thought through parts. It is sturdy, doesn't rattle and stows away perfectly.

The side steps are a great help to access the cargo on the roof. They don't slip, even when wet but an extra inch could help feel more comfortable.
