Before Installation
Park securely, control the work area, and use lifting/support equipment appropriate to the component. Inspect mounting points and threads. Never improvise replacement fasteners or publish a torque value from a different hitch revision.
Installation and Inspection
Follow the current DVA sequence and torque specification. Route any trailer wiring only to the vehicle and harness manufacturers' instructions. After installation, verify clearance, safety-chain access, wiring retention, and that every towing component is rated for the intended loaded combination.
DVA Load Planning
The rear receiver, DualTrack-T MAX, and DVA mounting catalog solve different cargo-placement problems. None changes the Grenadier's certified towing, axle, or roof limits.

Installation-Control Checklist
Print or save the current instructions and verify the product revision before disassembly. Lay out every supplied fastener and compare it with the bill of materials. Photograph the original mounting area, wiring, and nearby systems so routing and clearances can be restored.
During the job, mark each completed step and torque only from the current instruction set. Do not substitute a value from a similar product or a forum post. After assembly, inspect for trapped wiring, contact at full motion, blocked service points, and hardware that cannot be visually rechecked. Record the final torque check and the maker's reinspection interval with the vehicle service notes.
Stop and resolve before continuing
- The product revision or vehicle fitment does not match the instructions.
- Supplied hardware differs from the bill of materials.
- A hole, cut, splice, or structural modification is required but not documented.
- The completed assembly interferes with a safety system, moving panel, wiring, hose, or service access.
Pre-Tow Verification Sheet
Keep the vehicle label values, trailer certification data, receiver and ball-mount ratings, brake-controller instructions, and loaded scale ticket together. Record the exact configuration used for the weighing: occupants, cargo, water, fuel, trailer loading, and hitch hardware. A different trailer load or cargo position creates a different axle and tongue-load case.
Before departure, inspect the receiver attachment, coupler, ball, safety chains, breakaway system, electrical connector, lighting, tires, and brakes to the applicable manufacturer instructions. Perform the controller maker's required functional test. If the vehicle was not factory-equipped for the proposed electrical interface, stop and use current INEOS/service information rather than copying a forum wire-color map.

- Confirm the exact vehicle and legal requirements.
- Confirm every component rating and compatibility.
- Load the combination as it will travel and weigh it.
- Compare total, axle, trailer, tire, hitch, and combination limits.
- Correct the failing constraint; do not average limits together.

Receiver Fit Does Not Prove Accessory Clearance
The receiver, spare wheel, ball mount, cargo carrier, bike rack, trailer coupler, and any extension form one geometry problem. A forum report that one rack does not clear the spare is evidence to check the combination, not a dimension that transfers to another rack. Obtain the current dimensional drawings for every component or physically mock up the complete combination before purchase.
- Check insertion depth, pin engagement, spare-wheel and rear-door clearance, and the accessory maker's extension restrictions.
- Check the accessory and cargo through the full door, suspension, and trailer-articulation envelope that applies.
- Do not use an extender unless every affected manufacturer permits it and the complete rating chain still passes.
