The DVA Mechanics INEOS Grenadier rear spoiler fits the Grenadier Wagon, not the Quartermaster, and installs without drilling. It attaches above the rear doors with automotive double-sided tape and the included adhesion promoter. The installation succeeds or fails on four details: confirming Wagon fitment, removing wax and contamination, aligning the spoiler before the tape touches paint, and leaving the vehicle parked for at least 24 hours after installation.
Quick answer
Dry-fit first, mark the centered position with low-tack tape, clean and dry the contact area, apply the supplied adhesion promoter as directed, then press the spoiler into place at 70°F (21°C) or warmer. Do not drive for 24 hours while the adhesive develops strength.
Fitment comes first: Wagon, not Quartermaster
The INEOS Grenadier rear spoiler is shaped for the rear roof edge of the five-door Grenadier Wagon. It is explicitly not listed for the Quartermaster. That distinction matters because an adhesive-mounted part needs continuous, correct contact with the body surface; a part that merely looks close is not acceptable fitment.
The spoiler is made from automotive-grade ABS and is offered in Gloss Black or Scottish White. Both finishes use the same no-drill mounting method. Before removing any tape liner, hold the spoiler against the roof edge and verify that it seats evenly, clears both rear doors through their full travel, and appears centered from behind.
One owner's observation—and its limits
The product changes the visual finish of the rear roof edge and adds a small overhang above the rear doors. In a product-specific Grenadier Forum thread, owner spyder6255 reported on November 24, 2025: “It keeps the rain out of the back doors so some what functional.”

This single report is useful context, not a body of test data or a measured guarantee for every parking angle, wind direction or rainfall. DVA does not publish measured downforce, drag, fuel-economy or rear-window-cleanliness gains for this part. Choose it for its stated fitment, finish and no-drill construction—not for an unsupported aerodynamic promise.
Tools and conditions for a reliable tape install
Gather low-tack masking tape, clean lint-free towels, a suitable automotive surface cleaner, a tape measure and the supplied adhesion promoter. Work indoors or in a sheltered area where dust, rain and direct sun will not change the panel temperature during installation.
DVA specifies a minimum of 70°F (21°C). The vehicle, spoiler and adhesive should all be at or above that temperature—not only the surrounding air. If the Grenadier has just come in from the cold, allow the roof panel and spoiler to stabilize before proceeding.
General adhesive guidance supports the same fundamentals. 3M's official VHB surface-preparation bulletin emphasizes a clean surface, and its technical guidance explains that pressure, temperature and time affect bond development. The DVA listing does not identify the supplied tape family, so DVA's product-specific instructions control this installation.
Five-step INEOS Grenadier rear spoiler installation
Wash, decontaminate and dry
Wash the upper rear roof area, then remove wax, sealant, polish residue and road film from the precise tape-contact zone. Use products that are safe for the Grenadier's finish. Follow with a clean lint-free towel and allow the panel to dry completely. Do not install over moisture or a recently applied paint-protection product.
Dry-fit and mark the center
With every liner still attached, place the spoiler in its intended position. Compare the left and right ends against repeatable body references and check the view from directly behind the vehicle. Use low-tack tape to create alignment tabs on the spoiler and roof. This gives you a target when the adhesive is live.
Check clearance before committing
Open and close both rear doors carefully while a helper holds the spoiler in the dry-fit position. Confirm that neither door, hinge path nor weather seal contacts the part. If the seating or clearance is uneven, stop and resolve the position before exposing adhesive.
Promote adhesion and place once
Apply the included adhesion promoter only to the intended bond area and according to its supplied directions. Expose the tape in a controlled way, keep the spoiler aligned with the masking-tape tabs, and lower it evenly. Avoid touching the adhesive or letting one end grab while the other end is out of position.
Press firmly, then protect the cure
Apply firm, even hand pressure along every bonded section rather than pressing only at the ends. Recheck that the edge is seated uniformly. DVA requires a 24-hour cure before driving; also avoid washing the vehicle or loading the part during that initial period.
Do not “test” the adhesive by pulling up an edge after placement. Lifting and re-sticking can contaminate or weaken the bond. If alignment is wrong, stop and follow a proper removal-and-replacement process with fresh mounting materials.
Post-install inspection and maintenance
After the 24-hour parked cure, inspect the complete perimeter before driving. Look for an end that is not seated, a visible gap that differs from the opposite side, or movement under light hand pressure. If anything is lifting, do not rely on highway airflow to “settle” it; address the installation first.
Add the spoiler to normal exterior checks, especially after automatic washes, freeze-thaw cycles or very hot weather. Clean around the edge gently and avoid directing a pressure-washer nozzle into the bond line. A visual check takes seconds and can catch contamination or edge lift early.
Can the spoiler be removed later?
Removal is a heat-and-patience job. Warm the bonded edge with a heat gun on low or a hair dryer—surface warm to the touch, not hot—and work a plastic trim tool, never metal, under one corner. Advance slowly along the bond line as the adhesive softens. Put a clear-coat-safe adhesive remover on a microfiber towel rather than directly on the paint to address residue. If the panel has aftermarket paint, paint-protection film or a ceramic coating, test in a hidden area first or hand the job to a detailer.
If you are not comfortable managing heat near paint or removing residual adhesive, use a professional detailer or body shop. Before installing other exterior equipment, browse the Grenadier exterior-accessory collection and confirm that each part has its own fitment and mounting requirements. For broader vehicle-specific hardware, the INEOS Grenadier accessories collection keeps compatible options together.
