The PowerVault is a removable exterior power hub for INEOS Grenadiers that already have a factory DTP outlet. Its supplied DTP-to-Anderson lead connects the factory outlet to USB-C, USB-A, 12 V, and local lighting outputs. The connector may fit even when the planned device exceeds the vehicle circuit, so confirm the circuit and device requirements before use.
Find the actual factory DTP outlet on your vehicle. Check its matching EXT switch and the applicable handbook or fuse information. With the circuit off, inspect and connect the supplied lead, secure the magnetic enclosure on a clean surface that holds it firmly, then energize the circuit and test one documented load.
Start with the outlet, not the trim name
The physical outlet is the fitment check. Do not infer DTP wiring from model year, trim, or another owner's build. The PowerVault uses factory wiring that is already present; it does not add a DTP circuit to a vehicle that lacks one.

EXT2 and EXT3 affect where you connect
One owner reported that EXT3 energizes three roof outlets together and EXT2 operates the right-front outlet. That means switching one circuit may also energize other equipment connected to the same group.

Use that report for planning, not as a universal wiring specification. Confirm the switch assignment and circuit information for the exact vehicle before connecting a load. This guide does not publish one amperage or fuse value for every build.
Five-step exterior power setup
1. Inspect the outlet and supplied lead
Switch the circuit off. Check the DTP outlet and the supplied 1 m DTP-to-Anderson lead for dirt, moisture, bent contacts, damaged insulation, or a latch that will not engage normally. Do not force a connector.
2. Choose a stable magnetic mounting point
The enclosure uses four magnets. Test the exact surface before connecting power. It should hold the enclosure firmly and be clean enough that trapped grit cannot mark the finish. Keep the hub and lead clear of hinges, latches, sharp edges, hot parts, pooled water, and foot traffic.
3. Connect without cable strain
Seat the DTP and Anderson connections fully while the circuit remains off. Route the lead with enough slack for normal movement, but do not leave a loop that can catch gear. Keep tension off both connector bodies.
4. Energize the matching circuit
Operate the EXT switch assigned to the physical outlet. Confirm that the hub powers normally before adding equipment. If it does not, switch the circuit off and inspect the connection and vehicle documentation before continuing.
5. Test one documented load
Compare the device input label and instructions with the hub output and the Grenadier circuit documentation. Check any separate startup and running requirements the device manufacturer publishes. Test one load first. A matching plug does not establish electrical capacity.
What each PowerVault output provides
The current DVA product specification lists two USB-C ports rated up to 65 W per port, two USB-A ports rated up to 22.5 W per port, one cigarette-lighter-style 12 V socket, and an integrated switch-activated light. These are hub ratings. The connected Grenadier circuit may set a lower limit.

Do not add the nameplate maximums together and assume the vehicle will supply that total. Compare three limits: the device requirement, the hub output, and the factory circuit. The lowest applicable limit governs.
Weather, dirt, and placement
DVA describes the enclosure for dust, mud, and rain exposure and explicitly says not to submerge it. The product page does not publish an IP code, so this guide does not assign one. Keep the hub out of pooled water. Disconnect power before cleaning, then inspect the connector seals and contact areas before storage.
Recheck the magnetic hold after routing the lead and whenever activity around the vehicle changes. If the enclosure can slide, if a connector is under tension, or if water can collect around the connection, move the setup before use.
Troubleshoot by symptom
No power at the hub
- Disconnect every load and switch the circuit off.
- Confirm that the physical outlet matches the EXT switch being used.
- Inspect and reseat both ends of the supplied lead.
- Use the handbook and fuse information for the exact vehicle before further diagnosis.
Power is intermittent
- Switch off and check both connector latches and the cable route.
- Remove any strain or pinch point.
- Confirm that the magnetic base cannot slide when the lead moves.
- Retest with one device whose requirements are documented.
A device resets or will not start
- Stop retrying and disconnect the device.
- Check the device maker's input, startup, and running requirements.
- Account for other equipment connected to the same switched group.
- If the documentation does not establish compatibility, use a qualified installer or a separately engineered circuit.
The DVA setup for exterior power
The INEOS Grenadier PowerVault Utility Hub R2 packages the published USB, 12 V, and light outputs in a removable magnetic enclosure. It includes the 1 m DTP-to-Anderson lead and requires an existing factory DTP outlet. No drilling or permanent vehicle wiring change is required.
