Installing Your DVA Mechanics Lowest Profile Roof Rails
Thank You for Choosing the DVA Mechanics Roof Rail for the Ineos Grenadier!
The installation process is quick and straightforward.
Mounting Kit Contents
• (2) 3” Main Clamps (one for each side)
• (2) Upper Clamps (one for each side)
• (4) M8 Countersunk Screws
• (8) M4 Cap Head Screws
• (4) Thick Rubber Bushings (for protection and secure grip on the Grenadier’s Roof Mounting Rails)
Recommended Mounting Location
The Roof Rail is designed to attach to the Grenadier’s factory Roof Mounting Rails. Before installation, consider:
1. Ensuring the DVA Lowest Profile Roof Rail is positioned evenly along the roofline.
2. Avoiding any interference with antennas, sunroofs, or roof-mounted accessories.
3. Confirming that the mounting location provides sufficient support for the intended load.
Installation Steps
1. Attach one 3” Main Clamp to the DVA Roof Rail using (2) M8 Countersunk Screws.
• Insert one Thick Rubber Bushing into each 3” Main Clamp to protect the Grenadier’s Roof Mounting Rails while ensuring a tight and secure attachment.
2. Position the DVA Roof Rail across the Grenadier’s roof at the desired location.
• The 3” Main Clamp should be positioned securely behind the factory Roof Mounting Rails without interfering with any existing mounting points.
3. Attach the second 3” Main Clamp to the opposite side of the Roof Rail using (2) M8 Countersunk Screws.
• Insert a Thick Rubber Bushing on this side as well.
4. Secure the Upper Clamps to the 3” Main Clamps using (4) M4 Cap Head Screws per clamp.
• Ensure the factory Roof Mounting Rails are sandwiched between the Main Clamps and the Upper Clamps for a firm grip.
• Insert a Thick Rubber Bushing on each Upper Clamp before attaching it to the 3” Main Clamps.
Key Considerations
• Double-check alignment before final tightening to ensure an even and secure fit.
• Verify there is no interference with other roof-mounted accessories or vehicle components.
• Regularly inspect the mounting hardware for stability. For a permanent installation, apply Loctite or a similar thread locker to both the M4 and M8 screws.
Load & Positioning Notes
• Each Roof Rail can support a maximum of 50 lbs, with a total distributed load not exceeding 100 lbs across both rails.
• Due to the Grenadier’s slight rear taper, the rear-most Roof Rail should be positioned forward of the rear edge.
